Ladybug
We're sending you pictures of our lovely little Ladybug that we would love for you to put on your
site. Until recently, we didn't know there was such a thing as
chi-weenies. Instead, we called Ladybug a dachi-diva because she is
part Dachsund, part Chihuahua, and ALL DIVA. She is 4 years old
and weighs only 9lbs. She has short little legs and a long body, We
believe that she has the sweet, smart, and gentle nature of the dachsund breed
not to mention her longish ears and nose, She is well-balance with the
activity level, alertness, and coloring of the chihuahua breed. She
doesn't have any of the nervous energy of the chihuahuas that we know. She
is just an extra special dog.
Arrival Story:
Hunter (our son) fell in
love with her while she was living with his grandparents. (They rescued her when
she was a baby.) He desperately wanted an inside dog. She was perfect! So, even
though they loved her very much, his grandparents gave Ladybug to him on his
10th birthday. We have had her for 3 years now and our life has been
SO BLESSED by her energy, love, and affection! She is just so smart, so
talented, and such a joy to be around! She has brought a million smiles to our
lives! WE LOVE HER SO MUCH! We homeschool and she goes with us everywhere that
we can safely take her (such as baseball games, soccer games, park days, dog
parks, Petco, on vacation, etc.) Everywhere we go, people just LOVE HER! She is
the perfect people doggy! We don't know what we would do without
her!

Ladybug's Pet-Peeves:
She hates people knocking
at the front door. She especially dislikes seeing "her people" putting on
shoes to leave when she hasn't been invited to go "bye bye." If the door is open
to our van, she expects to be able to get in it and GO!
Ladybug's
Favorite Toy:
Ladybug loves her stuffed monkey (which is as big as she
is) and a little stuffed lion..if monkey is hiding.
Ladybug's Favorite Foods:
She loves to eat
anything that her people are eating at the moment! But the funniest thing is
that she won't eat directly from her bowl. She carries several pieces of food
(in her mouth) to a soft rug or blankie, then pops it out & proceeds to eat
it! She loves apples, baby carrots, grapes, and peanuts!
Ladybug's Favorite Spot:
Ladybug
likes to walk to the bird sanctuary...but she would much prefer to be a lazybug
in someone's lap, lying on her pillow in the middle of Mommy and Daddy's king
size bed, lying on the back of the couch, or wrapped up in her cozy blankie
cave.
Ladybug's Best
Tricks:
She can STAND for a long time, sit, & she dances at the
door when she hears, "Out!" and she runs out the door to the car when
she hears, "Bye Bye!" She LOVES to ride in any car! She even has her own
blankie & water bowl in ouir van, so she goes with us almost anywhere
that is safe and will be comfortable for her! (We refuse to let her ride during
hot or cold weather if we can't take her inside when we get to our destination,
so she gets very upset when we leave her at home.)
Ladybug's Family:
Ladybug lives in a family of 3
people. She has a daddy, a mommy, and a 13yo boy who love her and spoil
her rotten. She also has a 7 year old doggy sister named Liberty, who
is a Siberian Husky/Lab mix. Ladybug and Liberty really love each other!
Whenever we let Ladybug out to potty, she runs around to the back yard
to visit with Liberty! Liberty loves to be outside and often refuses
to come in...but Ladybug tries to make Liberty follow her inside the back door.
It is so funny to see a 9lb dog try to boss around a 50lb dog!
